Hello everyone!
Today I would like to talk about one of my hobbies: Boardgames.
What are Boardgames?
Boardgames are games that you can play with your family or friends
and range from simple card games like “Uno” to strategic world
conquest games like “Risk” with intermediates difficulties like “Monopoly”.

Boardgames are played with 2 to 8 people usually,
with some exception that can be played alone
but let’s not lie, it is much more fun with people.
One “game” can take between 20 minutes to 6 hours
depending on the complexity and if all the players
already knows the rules.
Some games pit you against each other whereas others
will ask you to play together as a team to beat the game.
For example in “7 Wonders” you have to build the best
civilization and the one with more points at the end of the game
will be the winner.
In “Flash Point” you take the suit of a fireman and with the help
of the other players you will rescue people in a house set on fire.

As for my understanding, In Japan people usually meet outside
like in a restaurant or café.
In France we are used to invite people at our home more often
and that is probably why this Boardgames “culture” is more developed.
When I was a kid I used to invite friends every weekend to play
“Lego” or Boardgames. Now that I am married and with a baby boy
I play with them too. There is no better way for me to spend a Sunday
afternoon than playing Boardgames with family and friends.
Of course some good snacks and drinks are also very important.

I hope this small talk will raise your interest for Boardgames
and if you need some recommendations don’t hesitate to ask me!
